Reasons I Hate You

I hate myself because of you,
The thoughts and dreams you come to,
Things I cannot say or do,
Reasons I hate you.

The Calm One

The calmest person you know,
Is usually the one you should be afraid of.
When that person erupts,
Everyone will go with them.
Just be attentive and aware.
That calm person's sanity will go.

Sunshine

Sunshine bright,
Gleaming and light,
Soon to be a starry night.

Warm within,
Rays piercing the skin,
Forgetting what should've been.

Sunny day,
In mid May,
Hopes it'll stay.

Saturday Night Thoughts

My feelings are clear,
As clear as the blue sky.
My heart was wishing,
      Whishing upon a shooting star.
My lungs quit,
As breathless as a dead man.
My blood warm,
As tingly as sparkling water on a tongue.
A mind foggy,
Foggy like a lake on an early morning.

The Best Time To Fear

Halloween is her favorite time of year, she loves the gore and the costumes around her. Isabell yearns for the chaos of the holiday season of scares. This year the young girl was going as a simple unicorn and she wanted to have fun. Though she did not know the fun was going to turn into her getting chased by a killer. As she was walking the side walk with her friends she saw someone suspicious looking start following them. She told them and they turned corners and went into stores. But nothing they did lost him. He was covered in blood, and it wasn't fake, he had murdered a girl two hours before. They just sped up their pace and they eventually got to Isabell's house, went in, and locked every door. But he was already in the house. They kept getting calls on the home phone and they answered. But the only thing on the other end was heavy breathing. After two hours of being terrorized they called the police. A police officer came and checked the place and stayed in front of the house. The man was still in the home watching the girls. They kept getting calls and the police officer tracked the other end of the call. The call was coming from the inside of the house. The girls ran out to the police car but only two of the three made it. The man had taken Isabell back into the house by her hair as she cried for help. She was stabbed twenty-seven times in the stomach and the mystery man missed any major arteries. She was rushed to the hospital and had four surgeries for the total amount of damage that occurred. Though, there was something she was holding back from everyone. She didn't even tell her therapist, there was just complete fear in her eyes everyday for the rest of her life. A few years later the same man found her again and shot her in the leg and let her live once again, but only a few weeks after her surgery for her leg she was killed. This man had been stalking her for twenty-eight years and eventually killed her. The poor girl knew this man, that's why she was so fearful, but she couldn't tell anyone who it was because it was her father...

A Life in Danger - Part 4

I know now that I need to get back home and find someone that knows what happened to me. Just then I ran into a girl that looked so nice. She has black hair with red highlights in it. Her eyes were blue with a little bit of green. She also had an iPhone7 in her hand when I ran into her. She looks like she just came from Church because she had a beautiful black dress on. The dress was beautiful, the right side on the bottom was longer than the left side, asymmetrical. She also had black Nike shoes on.
Then the nice-looking girl looked back up at me and said, “Sorry, I was not looking where I was going.”
I looked back up at her and said, “No, I’m sorry, I was not looking were I was going, sorry.”
“No…No it is okay." She said.
     “Okay.” I said.
“Were you looking for something?” She asked
     “No.” I said.
“Okay.” She said, “Are you hurt?”
“Yes,” I answered. “but I’m not sure how I got hurt.”
“You don’t remember how you got hurt?” She asked me.
“No.” I answered “I think I have amnesia and I just escaped from someone who was trying to kill me in my hospital room. I didn’t even get to eat the lunch that they brought me.”
“Well, are you hungry? I mean, you look like you are.” She asked me.
“Yes, I am so hungry. I think I’m going to eat myself if I don’t eat soon.” I said.
“Good, because I know a nice quiet place that is so good, it’s right around here.” She said.
"Okay, that would be great, thanks.” I said.
“Do you want to come with me?” She asked
“Oh, I don’t know.” I said. “But it would be so nice to eat, yeah let’s go.”
“Okay, well then let’s go eat some good food." She said.
    “Okay.” I said.

Unknown Love - Part 3

Ten minutes later she walked out of the bathroom with her hair long and curled and she was in her corset. But she needed help tightening it.
"Lace me up cow boy." She said smiling and holding onto the bed post as he walked up behind her to tighten her corset. It only took about five minutes unlike the normal twenty minutes.
"Step in." He said holding the dress so she could step in and get dressed. Then he laced up her dress too. She then sat down and he put her heels on her feet like Cinderella. In a way she was Cinderella, his Cinderella.
"Thank you." She said as she went towards the door and down the stairs.
"You're welcome." He said still on one knee.
"Come here." She said using one finger.
"What? Can you not breathe?" He asked.
"I can breathe fine." She said grabbing his tie. "Meet me in the garden, one." She whispered into his ear.
"I'll be there." He said in her ear, he sent shivers down her back and he could tell.
"Good." She said smoothing her dress and walking out the door. All he could do was smile.
She made her way down the stairs and sat at the lunch table. "Good morning mother." She said putting her napkin in her lap.
At lunch her mother couldn't stop smiling. Her mother knew what happened, she sent him up to her room. Even Princess Evelyn was happy, though she knew it shouldn't happened. As the fifteen year old butler started to serve desert she spilled tea all down the front of her. He helped her out of her seat and she started up the stairs. He finished serving deserts and met her in her room to help her get changed.
"Did you do that on purpose?" He asked as he unlaced her dress.
"What if I did?" She asked a little flirty.
"If you did, I'm in love with you. If you didn't, then I take what I just said back." He explained.
"I'm in love with you too." She said as he laced up a new dress. He turned her around and kissed her.
They finally knew the love they shared. They finally realized the dreams they had were with each other. Their unknown love, that was known by everyone except them, was officially known by the simple boy and girl.

In Summer

In summer.

She smells of crisp air
Of February. Her breezes
Hallucinate my senses.
And am bemused in her art.

The flavor of her lips,
Warm. Ripe. Juicy like a
Fruit from paradise. In April.

Her laughs I soak. They unbutton
The clothes of sadness. She
Unclothes my soul stark naked.

Loves Competition - Chapter 1

Claire

It was financing class and we were learning about sports salaries.
“The average NBA player makes 4.5 million and the average WNBA 72 thousand.” Mr. Like said as he wrote it on the whiteboard. Then I shot my hand in the air.
“Excuse me, Mr. Like ,but why are women paid less. If society says we are equal then why are women getting paid less in sports still.” I asked furiously. I’m sorry but women not getting treated equal is infuriating. All of a sudden Lucas, the most adored kid in school, spoke up.
“It’s because girls sports are boring. Their is no toughness in it. They just prance around pretending to be as good as guys and trying to throw the ball.” Everyone snickered and the girls sighed as Lucas shook the hair out of his face. I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
“I could take you any day and have you crying at the end like a baby or would you be too afraid to ruin you perfect hair.” I said putting quotes around perfect hair as I turned to stare down his electric blue eyes.
“Oh please, you would be too afraid to ruin your nails or makeup.” He retorted back. I glared at him. Everyone just stared at us, looking from one person to another. Finally Mr. Like intervened.
“Enough you two. Class dismissed.” As I walked out of the classroom, Lucas caught up to me.
“Hey Claire, we don’t have to go play each other. I know you were just flirting. Why don’t we catch a movie after school or something.” He said as I grabbed my books out of my locker. I slammed the locker door.
“Are you seriously that conceited. I seriously could beat you in any sport. You know not all girls are into you and I asked the principal if the boys basketball team, which you are on of course, can play the girls and the whole school can watch and guess what he said, he said yes. You better bring your tissues because you’re going to be crying after this game. So see you tonight in the gym. And by the way, I would rather gouge out my eyes with a plastic spork and bury myself alive then go out with you.” I said this as I turned around and left the building shouldering Lucas and his friends as I left.

I am very sorry to announce that this story, Love's Competition, will not be continued with a chapter 2, 3, 4, or any others. The author, Grace, did not like her writing. I am leaving it up on here if you would like to read it. But there is good news! She, Grace, will be starting a new series called Reckless Love. It is being posted Thursday (November 23, 2017)  because it has a Thanksgiving theme tied in...the first chapter at least! We both hope you like it!!

Chapter 4 - I Care

“Well when I came up to her she kind of...didn’t really… remember me.” I said.

“What do you mean she didn’t remember you.” Aaron shouted as he pushed me up and held me against the wall.

“Calm down Aaron.” Rose said in a calming voice.
“No, I will not calm down!” He shouted. “Where is she?”
“Look, I was walking around town and she was just, there. She was walking out of King High School.” I said.
“Walking out of high school. Really? How long did it take you to think of that?” He asked still shouting at me.
“I am not making it up! I saw her. I talked to her.” I said shouting back.
“You talked to her. Then what did she say?” He shouted.
“Well, when I came up to her I tried to talk but she kept saying she didn’t know me. And when I kept trying to get her to remember her friend told me to back off and then dragged her away.” I said.
“Her friend dragged her away!” He said angrily.
“Yes, her school friend!” I said louder.
“Then why didn’t you chase after her and bring her here?” He said getting louder.
“I wasn’t just going to take her.” I said trying to stay calm.
“Why not? We could have helped her!” He said now starting to shout even more.
“Not against her will. I wasn’t going to take her if she didn’t want to…” I said but then Aaron cut me off.
“Do you only care about yourself? She was our friend and you just let her go! We all cared about her and you just let her go! Don’t you…” Aaron shouted but then I cut him off.
“Do you think I don’t care about her! I LOVED HER! I don’t want her gone! I want her back but we are going to have to find a different way because I am not going to drag her away and make her trust me even less. So, if you want to go find her be my guest. But don’t you ever think that I don’t care about her. Understand?” I shouted at Aaron.
“Ok…lets all take a breath.” Pearl said.
“Aaron let Jackson go.” Tony said coming over to us.
Tony took Aaron’s arm and moved it so that I could get off of the wall. Aaron left to the living room without saying a word. Everyone else was also speechless after my big outbreak.
“Let's go for a walk.” Tori said to me.

Just How It Is

Kindness dribbles from few.
Love knows no bounds.

Hate flows from everywhere.
Peace can't be found.

Sadness overwhelms.
Happiness is real in two.

Fake faces, look around.
Fake smiles all over town.

Flowers - Part 2

She slewed and slayed everything that came in her way
until she got to her target.
Me!!!
How is this even right?
How didn't I see this coming?
The number of her preys grew as the wind blew.
All that to get to me (this is supposed to make me feel special??-twisted)
The battle line was drawn.
She became the green eyed widow.
Her dark long wavy hair suddenly became red.
I guess she traded her heart for her hair.

She looked bat-shit crazy,
But even like this she remains beautiful.
Maybe I am the crazy one,
Nah! I'm just in love (I think).
She came little closer and I let my emotions guide me
and I stood unguarded.
She cut right through my chest,
Found my heart and carefully fed herself.
She loved precious stones(she probably thought my heart was diamond).
I did want to be her treasure but oh well!

I speak to you in pain.
I lay in my own blood which looks good on her by the way.
I'm not going too struggle knowing this is the last I might
perceive of her scent.
This indeed is the beginning of our lives.
Like I said before,
I'm not letting go this time.
I stabbed right where I knew there was no turning back.
I held her still beside me.
Now we'll be together forever.

Chapter 3 - Who is He?

“Shopping at the mall was a great idea.” Tina said.
“It really was!” Hailey said back to her.
“Abby! Abby!” Tina shouted trying to get my attention.
“What? What’s happening?” I said waking up from my trance.
“You haven’t said a word for an hour.” Hailey said.
“Are you still thinking about that boy?” Tina asked me.
“Yeah.” I said.
“Why? You don’t even know him.” Hailey stated.
“I know, I know. There was just something about him that just made me feel off.” I said to my friends.
“Well, yeah. A random boy came up to you out of nowhere and wanted you to come with him. I would be creeped out to.” Tina said.
“Yeah, but it's like this weird feeling I guess.” I said to Tina.
“Are you actually thinking about finding him?” Hailey asked.
“No, of course not. I don’t even know him.” I said to Hailey.
“Are you sure your not going to go after him. Remember he could be dangerous.” She said back to me.
“Yes, I am sure. I wouldn’t go off and do something stupid like follow a boy I don’t even know.” I said trying reassure her.
“Good!” Hailey said. “And if he comes back I would make sure to punch him in the face and get rid of him!”
“I know you will.” I said laughing.
Hailey’s the type of friend you always want around. She is tough and caring. She will always make sure Tina and I are safe. And she will always tell what's on her mind. No boy stands a chance against her.
“So let's talk about boys!” Tina said excitedly. “Did you see Will the other day! He was gorgeous!”
“Wow!” I said.
“Oh come on. I know a girl who has a crush on a guy named Owen.” Tina said smiling at me.
“I never said that!” I said blushing while I punched her on the arm.
“Well the blushing means you do.” Hailey said making me blush more.
“So what if I do!” I said.
“Ask him out!” Tina said to me.
“What? No!” I shouted.
“Why not? You two would make a great couple.” Tina said.
“I can’t.” I said.
“Yes you can!” Tina said back.
“You have two days to ask him or we will tell him ourselves.” Hailey said.
“Fine.” I said to them. “I will do it.”
“Yay!” Tina shouted with excitement.
“I can't believe you are making me do this.” I said.
“Your welcome.” Hailey said to me.
We kept on walking through the mall and while I was planning on how to ask Owen out, then that boys face from after school today popped into my mind. Who is he?

Flowers - Part 1

Let me tell you a story.
It's neither from the beginning nor the end.
The beginning indeed is the end.

She ate right out of my heart,
Neither because I let her
Nor because she could.
she'd been hurt a lot, turned against,
Even now she's a widow.
Like a flower she blossomed,
We grew together,
I was her stalk and she my root but even then
she remained the flower still.

Seasons came and went,
Unexpectedly we became more like pollen grains,
I knew what I wanted,
Became more defined,
but she remained vulnerable.
I pulled her(at least I tried),
cause every time the wind blew she whispered "Hold on, no
one is going to get left behind".
I tried, I did.
But she remained vulnerable and got kicked about.
She was trampled upon like a cheap carpet grass.
Disposed as pleased like cheap degradable waste.
She let the lies of the world of passers-by get to her
then she became a lie herself.

She was beautiful no doubt but he didn't deserve her
and she him.
I was always there but to her I was just a wallpaper and
he, her world.
He made her feel as though she was wanted and loved.
Now he's gone.
Where is he now?
Who is going to take care of the tears that seem as
though the times of Noah are reoccurring.
Me! Me!! Me!!! I let go and let God.
She became a disease and I her cure.
But I was nothing anymore.
It was like she was immune.
More like she had other goals.
She wanted to make the world pay.
She blamed the world for her loss.

The Princess, Queen, and King - Part 1

One day there was a girl, she lives in an old run down castle. It is December 27, 2020, her birthday. She is 17 years old as of today. She has no maids or guards. She has one friend and a boyfriend. She is a beautiful, kind, caring princess.
She was calling her best friend on her 17th birthday. But her best friend never answered. So she decided to call later. She picked up the phone to call her boyfriend but when she heard a thud up stairs she jumped and dropped the phone. Which made the screen on her phone crack. She kept hearing thuds. Thud! Thud! Thud! She decided to see what it was but sure it was probably just something falling. She slowly walked up the stairs and while doing that she kicked off her beautiful blue sparkling heels and left them on the stairs. She didn't want to make noise as she walked, in case a robber was in the castle.

She spent twenty minutes trying to unlock her bedroom door but it would not budge. So when the door finally came open after she put on her heels and went down stairs. She stopped in the middle of the foyer to look at the light coming into the dark hallway that was coming from her room. As she walked away to grab her phone she heard her name being called. It sounded like a deep manly voice.
"Emily!" The voice called as she twirled around to see who it was. "Emily, it's just you."
"Tyler?! Is that you?" She said holding back tears.
"Who else would it be sweetie?" He asked while hastily descending the stairs  to meet her for a hug.
"I've missed you." She replied angered right before feeling his warm embrace. "Why are you here?"
"Lilly and I were going to throw your 17th birthday bash here. Until you called her and left a voice mail saying to meet you here." He simply lied. He was really there on a mission to kill her. He poisoned the water in the glass by her bed. "Instead you want to go out tonight? Lilly has work until midnight anyway."
"No, let's just stay in and watch TV." The beautiful brown haired, blue eyed girl replied.
"Okay, let's go up stairs and watch TV in your room." The tall, blonde haired, green eyed boy said as they walked up stairs.

Chapter 2: What?

“I don’t understand.” I whispered to myself as I watched Abby walking away. “How could she not remember? How could she not remember me?
I started walking now trying to understand. I just don’t get it. She disappears for three months and then I find her at a school. What’s going on? The last thing I remember was us and the team going into a cave then it's all a blur. We all were back at our hideout except for Abby. So what happened? I kept walking 'till I got to our hideout to where the team was. They were all upset about Abby missing but after three months they started to give up.

“Hey kid, did you find Shadow?” Aaron asked. Aaron was the oldest one on our team. Oh, and if you haven’t figured it out by now, when I mean team I mean a superhero team. Anyway, Aaron, aka Sharp Shooter, is kind of a jerk. He uses a bow that has a gun attached to it. He is full of himself and a pain but he cares about us even though he doesn’t admit it. He thinks he can boss us around now because he is leader but we don’t listen like we listen to our first leader, Abby, aka Shadow. Ever Since she left we all had to adjust. Aaron adjusted to being leader.
“Yeah, sort of but…” I started to say till Aaron cut me off.
“Wait really you saw her!” Aaron said excitedly.
“Well…” I started.
“Everyone get in here quick!” Aaron said calling everybody over.
“What is it? What’s happening?” Pearl asked. Pearl can change her body into different rock minerals. So she can either be really hard or soft. She was Abby’s best friend.
The others filled in. In the room I could see Tony, Rose, Tori, and…
“Hey.” Dylan said teleporting into the room.
And there is Dylan. Dylan, aka Quantum, can teleport. Tony, aka Sociopath, can move things with his mind. Rose, aka Flora, can control plants. Tori, aka Virus, can control technology. And I, Jackson, aka Dagger, uses daggers and a katana that uses the energy of the earth to become stronger.
“Jackson found out something.” Aaron said.
“I found Shadow.” I said.
“That’s wonderful.” Rose said.
“So where is she?” Dylan asked.
“Well..."

Soulmate's Date

The music starts to play as I walk down the aisle,
My dress drags behind me in a white pile .
In front of me I see my to-be husband,
And a colorful bouquet of flowers in my hand.
I get to the vows and I start to cry,
As I think I am lucky to have found the perfect guy.
It is near the end of the ceremony and it is time for us to kiss,
I will always remember and cherish the moment as perfect bliss.
At the reception we danced to the perfect song,
I could stay there forever, all night long.
The night ended with me in his arms,
And from that moment forward I knew I would come to no harm.

Everything Is What It Is

Words are Words,
They hurt from time to time.

Minds are Minds,
They think and overthink.

Eyes are Eyes,
They see through lies.

Sighs are Sighs,
They feel like bad highs.

Friends are Friends,
They stab you and go.

Knives are Knives,
They hurt no less.

Cuts are Cuts,
They scar and tear.

Tears are Tears,
They feel no fears.

Chapter 1: Who?

Ring, Ring, Ring!

“Ahh finally the bell!” I said packing up my things and leaving English. “Now I can go to the mall with my friends and just chill.”
“Hey A! Ready for our Friday night girls out chill and relax night?” My friend Tina said running out of breath.
“First of all, we need to think of a better and shorter name for our girls night. And second of all, yes I am. It will be nice to get away from all the stress of school and just relax.” I said to Tina just as my other friend Hailey walked up to us.
“Are you guys ready for…” She started to say.
“Yes!” Tina and I both yelled.
“Wow! That excited?” Hailey asked.
“Yeah I am excited but I just wanted to stop you so you didn't have to say the whole entire name.” I said.
“Oh yeah. We should probably think of a better name.” Hailey said back.
“Yep.” I said.
We were walking out of school and going to the crosswalk when all of the sudden a boy with brown hair and green eyes came running up to me and said, “Abby! Its you its really you! I can't believe it! I thought I lost you forever! It took me forever to find you. But I don't understand, why you would hide in a school?”
“Umm...do you know this boy?” Tina asked.
“No, I don’t.” I said noticing his face changing when I said that.
“What do you mean?” He asked looking sad and confused now.
“I am sorry, but you must have the wrong person. I don’t know you.” I said.
“But you do. You and I...why don’t you remember?” He asked pleading to me to remember.
“Look I don’t know who you are, but my friends and I are going to go.” I said to him wondering if he was delusional.
“But you can’t I just…” He started to say but was interrupted.
“Look! She said to back off! So leave her alone!” Hailey yelled.
And with that Hailey dragged us across the crosswalk and to the other side of the street. I looked back just to see if he was still there and he was. I looked in his eyes and could see the hurt inside of him. I don’t know why he thinks he knows me but he must be confused.
“Thanks Hailey! I am glad to have you as my friend.” I said to her.
“Your welcome! I am just glad to be there for you to help fight against boys like that. He sounded really desperate. Probably just wanted something from you.” Hailey said to me.
“Yeah probably.” I said feeling uneasy about him.

When I Do Anything

When I hear your name,
I wonder how you are.

When I feel my heart thump,
I remember how I felt.

When my mind wanders,
It always wanders to you.

When my eyes water,
It's because of what you did.

When tears stain my face,
I remember how much it hurt.

When I look at everything,
I remember everything about us.

When my mind says 'why?',
I have no reply.

When my heart stops crying for you,
It will be too soon.

Talk About Me

I told you I liked you.
You just laughed in my face.

I walk down the hall and
I hear you whisper my name.

You point and watch me pass,
Like rain on a stormy day.

But I'm okay with it,
It only means I'm in your head.

I am the thoughts you think,
I am the things you hear about.

I'm around you 24/7,
Don't blame me,
You are the only one in this game.

I'm over you and your games...

Sweet and Salty

Your lips were like
butter. Your hands
were strong like
steel. Your warmth
was like the sunshine
on my skin. Your
embrace was reassuring
like a dad comforts his
daughter. Your eyes
were beautiful like a
warm spring day. I on
the other hand. I was
like a cold wave crashing
on the rocky shore.

Silence of Wealth

Hush.

Do not speak, for
they will slice our
tongue and rejoice
with cups of wine and
wealthy bread.

Do not speak, for
our voice is not ours.
They'll wrap their fingers
studded with gold, spill
our blood and smile.

Feelings

Love is like a bug.
It never goes away.
It fades little by little.

Though it's never really gone.
You don't want it to choose you.
Choose to land on you like a fly.

You catch it like a fire fly.
Glowing and radiant.
Soon enough it is just gone.

Secret Cupid: Prom Queen & King - Part 2

So Zack has been writing to me for two weeks trying to ask me things about this girl he likes. I have wrote back once or twice but it's hard when you like him. But that's what I get for opening up my heart.  Doesn’t matter now, prom is tonight and I am going alone. I wouldn’t be going if Emma hadn’t made me promise. Now I have to spend my day at school with everyone talking about prom.
As I was getting books from my locker Zack came up to me and said, “Hey Abby.”
“Hey Zack.” I said back.
“So I was…” He started to say but I cut him off.
“I am glad your going with Rachel. You guys are a good match. I know everyone will be voting for you two as King and Queen.” I said trying not to sound sad.
“Well, I haven’t asked her I…” He started.
“Well you should. I know it can be scary but just follow your heart. Let it speak for you.” I said. I heard him starting to say something but I walked away. I couldn’t let him see my face.

Prom Night

“You ready?" Emma said before we walked into the doors of the gym.
“I guess.” I said.
“Umm, Peter could you give us a minute?” Emma said to her prom date Peter.
“Sure.” He said walking off.
“You can do this. You look beautiful.” She said pointing at my light blue, short, no sleeves, with sequins at the top, dress.
“Thanks.” I said.
“Just go in and have fun.” Emma said.
After that she went to go find Peter while I walked in by myself. The gym was decorated in laces and banners of all kinds of light colors. There was pink, blue, green, and many more colors. It was beautiful. Over on the dance floor I could see Zack and Rachel dancing together. He was in a tux while she was wearing a purple gown. They looked nice together.
“Okay everyone! It's time to announce your prom king and queen!” Our teacher said while the whole school was shouting for joy.
Opening up the envelope our teacher read out our queen, “Our new queen is... Rachel!” Everyone applauded and then went silent to see who the king would be. “And our new king is... Zack!” She said after opening the envelope. Everyone cheered and applauded.
He went up to except his crown while Rachel kissed him on the cheek. Everyone knew they were the perfect couple.
While this was going on one of Zack’s friends said, “Congrats buddy on the crown and your girl.” For some reason Zack’s face wasn’t smiling anymore.
“Wait! I would like to make a speech if that's okay.” Zack said.
“Of course!” Our teacher said handing him the microphone.
“I am the captain of the basketball team,” He started while his team cheered. “some people could say I am popular. And before tonight I cared about what you all thought of me and I cared about that title. But tonight I realized that it doesn’t matter.” He continued then stared at me. “I don’t need your approval to like who I like. Because to be honest, my heart is telling me that I want someone else. Abby can you come up here?” He asked staring at me. While I was making my way up, I could see that all eyes are on me.
“Zack what are you doing?” I asked when I got up here.
“Abby, will you be my date to the prom?” He asked.
“Zack!” I said surprised. “Yes!”
“Great!” He said looking happy again. “And Rachel I am sorry but my heart belongs to her."
“But..” She started to say but then ran off.
“Do you want to dance?” He asked me when he noticed the slow dance music coming on.
“Sure.” I said. When I got on the dance floor I saw Emma giving me the thumbs up.
“You know that advice with following my heart was good advise... Secret Cupid.” He whispered to me.
“What how did you…” I started to say.
“I just knew I guess.” He said.
“Sorry about not really writing back. I was going to but I just couldn’t you see. I liked you but I thought you liked Rachel and then…” I started to babble but then was stopped by Zack's lips.
“How was that?” He asked pulling back from the kiss smiling.
“Perfect.” I said leaning in for another kiss.
