One
day she was sitting on a bench, she loves to write fantasy stories, but she
isn’t much of a reader. She was occupied writing a story, well typing it as the
cars and trucks flew by her faster than birds. And very few things confuse her.
She doesn’t wish to be famous or popular or even royalty. She just wants to
have more fun. A few of her friends even say she should have more fun.
The
next day she was walking to class. Every time, her friend, Gwen, caught up with
her to ask her if she wanted to go on a weekend road trip. Charlotte always
says no because she had tests the next week. She said she had to “study” all
weekend. Yet Gwen still pushed till Charlotte finally caved.
“Gwen,
why do you want to take this trip so badly?” Charlotte asked her begging
friend.
“You
need to get out of your dorm, let loose for once, quit studying, and take risks
before it is too late.” Gwen told her stubborn brown haired, deep green eyed
friend.
“I
can’t just drop everything, in this case my books, to go party. I mean I can,
but I won’t. So since I agreed to go, I have one condition.” Charlotte said
looking into her friends deep yellowish blue eyes.
“What
is that condition you think I will say yes to?” Gwen said with attitude and a
hint of drama in her voice.
“I
have to take my books so I can study but I will only study an hour at a time so
we can have fun too. I will study an hour, then fool around for an hour and
keep rotating my fun and studying. Do we have a deal my kind loving friend who
knows how important my grades are to me?” Charlotte asked with an evil looking
smirk on her face.
“Fine,
but just so we are clear I don’t appreciate being black mailed!” Gwen said
annoyed and angry at the same time.
They
went on that road trip, and Charlotte aced all four of her tests with a
ninety-eight percent or higher. While the kind, loving Charlotte managed to ace
all her classes she managed to publish a book, that she wrote. She was in the
middle of writing her second book when she got writers block. For her first
class of the day she went to writing, the teacher assigned a story five to ten
pages long. She had a real hard time writing just that. She didn’t even hit the
ten pages!
One morning the tall hazel eyed Charlotte was
studying outside when a man came out of the forest behind her. The man was
tall, he had red hair and hobbled over to her. Her put his arms around her
neck, and all of a sudden Gwen came out of the bushes and beat him to the
ground. That poor old fat man. The man got up, ran over to Charlotte, threw her
over his shoulder and took her to his white rusty van. Charlotte’s phone
started ringing. Ring, Ring!
“Hello?”
Gwen said with her high pitched voice trembling.
“Gwen?
Where is Charlotte?” Charlotte’s deep voiced mother asked.
“Uhhhh,
she went to get snacks from the store. She will be back shortly.” Gwen said
trying to think of a solution.
“Well,
okay, tell her I called sweetie.”
“Sure
thing Mrs. Gilbert.” Gwen said as she hung up the phone about to cry.
So
that day Gwen called the police, plus she put a search party together. She
described the man to the police. Charlotte was never found that year.
Three Years
Later...
The
sweet Charlotte was found in the river. The same man targeted Charlotte’s
family and friends. They were all eventually kidnapped and killed. Anyone
connected to Charlotte was killed after being kidnapped. They were all buried
at sea, (in other words they were found in the bottom of a river).
Sadly the
kidnapper and murderer still lives on….
