Fate - Part 1

Jax - Part 1

           Who does she think she is? She just waltzed in here like it was her turf. This is the bad side of town, she can't be here. She is lurking in the shadows like no one sees her, and I don't think anyone has yet. I stay in the woods behind her so she can't see me, but I can see her. I can tell she is aware of her surroundings, she knows who's around her, kind of. I walk forward a bit and I put my hand over her mouth and drag her back into the darkness. She starts squealing like a baby pig.

           "Shh, I am not going to hurt you, calm down and I'll let go." I whisper into her ear.

           "Why did you do that?" She said spinning to face me.

           "You need to leave, you have no idea what you are getting yourself into." I explained.

           "Why do you care what I am doing?" She said angry at me.

           "I don't care, but you should go." I say as I watch a drug deal happen around the fire. 

           "If you don't care just leave." She said with a bit of an attitude.

           "Fine, I will." I say turning on my black boot's heel and I walk away. 

           "Good." She mumbles under her breath as she leans on a tree.

           I backed up a little so I could keep an eye on her. 

           Why do I care about this? Why can't I just walk away?

           I turn around to walk away, but something just tells me to stay. My dog tags hit the zipper of my black worn out leather jacket and she hears it. I know she did, it was a loud as the crackle of thunder on a stormy July night. I slowly turn around cringing at the sound of the gravel under my boots. 

           "I know you're still back their. For a guy who lives on this side of town, you'd think you'd be a tad bit quieter." She said acknowledging my presence. 

           I step closer, close enough that I could smell her hair. "You know, for someone a witty as you, you'd think you'd know when to stop talking." I whisper into her ear and I can tell I sent chills down her spine because she shivered.

           "Stop." She said spinning around on her heel.

           "Stop what?" I ask to mess with her.

           "You know exactly what you are doing, do not play dumb." She said annoyed.

           I love messing with her head.

           "Maybe you should stop." I said trying to force my eyes to look at her bright blue eyes.

           "Stop what? I am doing nothing wrong." She asked genuinely confused. 

           "Stop standing so close because all I want to do is kiss you." I whispered into the darkness.
