The Fourth of July Disaster!

       Today is the Fourth of July and today is the day to have fun! She thought she was going to go have fun with her family. They'd cook out and swim and watch the fireworks. But she didn't know what would really happen... She got dressed and she put on a red, white, and blue summer dress. She put red, white, and blue bows in her hair as she put up pig tails so her long blonde hair could be up and out of the way. She did her make up doing her eye shadow as a flag. She wore flip flops and dangling star ear rings! She over dressed on holidays and today was one of those holidays. Of course she looked nice though, she always looked nice. She was on the way to pick up her older sister and head to her parents house. She eventually got to her sisters and picked her up and they were on the way to their parents house. When they got to the home where they grew up they saw everyone had beat them. They were greeted by everyone and hugged. They walked into the house and they could smell the food cooking inside and outside. The hot dogs and hamburgers and baked potato's and everything else. They were instantly hungry! The over dressed girl, Lily, brought pie and sodas. Everyone was over twenty-one, so their mother poured some wine for everyone except their father who drinks beer. They sat and just talked for awhile, until the food was done. They finally sat at the table, said grace, and ate their food out in the cool breeze. But what they didn't know was someone was in the house. Someone was roaming the house as everyone was outside. The dogs didn't even notice. That person came outside holding up a gun and everyone turned around slowly. The man fired the gun, pointing at their mother and Lily took the hit. Lily jumped in front of their mother. After she fell to the ground the man ran out. Their mother called 9-1-1 and Lily was taken to the hospital. She survived and she was happy to have a scar to show the day she was strong enough to take a bullet and make it through!
