Beyond the Forest & Into the Sunshine - Part 6

"Tommy, I...I don't know if this is right. I am just not sure yet." Bella said as one single tear ran down her face.
"It's okay, we will take our time and I mean you'd have to be announced as my fiancee right away, but we wouldn't have to be married for a few years." He explained using his thumb to wipe the tear from her cheek.
"But--" She started but before she could finish his finger was on her lips.
"Don't. Don't say anything yet, let me finish. I love you, and I know you don't love me the way I love you just yet, but I know you will eventually. Please, just do me this one honor and be my wife." He said to her as his eyes began to water.
"I'll marry you." She said looking into his eyes, then he kissed her.
"I love you Bella." He said putting the ring on her finger and she just mustered a fake smile, that is all she could do because of all the thoughts in her mind.
"Let us eat!" Bella said moving over to the bed. "Ah, I am going to wash my hands real quick." She said getting up and heading to the bathroom.
She ran the water, and washed her hands, but she also cried. She felt pressured into saying yes to a prince! Of all people, being a prince made it worse for her, she knew she couldn't say no. She also had an obligation as a princess, she knew that too. It took about five minutes to quit crying and pacing in her little gray shorts and purple tank top. But by the time she was about to come out the prince knocked on the door.
"Hey, Bella, are you okay in there?" He asked pounding on the door, but there was not an answer.
He tried the door knob, but it was locked, then he kicked in the door and he saw her huddled on the floor. Her legs curled to her chest, her head on her knees, she was leaning against the bath tub. The ring still on her finger, she looked up, he could see she was crying. He turned off the water and sat beside her. He just hugged her, she melted in his arms and he just held her.
